Birth Record #82 – Maria Ciriello

Record Date: 1 July 1876, 7.35 a.m. Frigento
Pasquale Ciriello, age 41, farmer, living in Frigento, reported that at 1.25 p.m., 30 June at Contrada Fontana Michele at #2 , his wife Tommasina Famiglietti, farmer, gave birth to a female baby and given the named Maria.

Witnesses:
Marciano Calo', 46, farmer
Rocco Cipriano, 30, farmer
Both residing in this town.

Angela :)

Can someone please tell me what the word is that appears before “mese” in these documents. I know it probably means last or previous. It doesn't look to me like “scorso”, it looks like “decorso” but that means course? Can I have the correct spelling and correct meaning please. Thank you. Angela

Angela
The correct spelling is decorso which in "del decorso mese" means "of the month which has expired, lapsed, or passed." So it is referring to the month of June in this document.
