D'Orio Marriage

Postby Sasso » 24 Sep 2014, 03:07

I was wondering if anyone could help translate this document for me. I'm afraid my italian is…nonexistent :). The marriage is for Francesco D'orio.

I'll attach the document and a link to the record.

Thanks!

The record begins on the previous page, it is record #297
On November 27 1870, the parish priest Carlo Monti celebrated the marriage of Francescantonio d'Orio and Marianna Schiazzano. Witnesses: Stanislao d'Orio and Nicola Patalano.

There's a Francesco D'Orio on the top of the right hand page. I was looking on that one. Is that even their marriage certificate?

If it is could you translate that please.
Thanks for translating the other one too.

Thanks for all the help. I have a question though. What does all the wording above that mean? Is it just a standard expression or does it say anything about them?

It's a standard expression, following is a word by word translation:

On day twentyone January onethousand eighthundred seventyone 1871.
I, here undersigned Parish Priesat, after posting to the people the due banns during three holidays, without getting any canonical impediment and after receiving the decree from the Bishop's office signed by the general vicar D. Marrcantonio Sorrentino, (I) united in marriage, according the rite ofg the sacred Trento Council, my godsons Francesco d'Orio and Maria Giuseppa de Siano in the presence of Gennaro Asprea and Domenico Mattera.
