1899 Atti di Morte - Sebastiano Capizzi

Postby malsbury » 19 Nov 2014, 04:06

I think I have located the death notice for my 4th great grandfather Sebastiano Capizzi (#135).

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

If looks like it references his wife Angela Ferrara, and mentions that his deceased parents are Francesco [Capizzi] and Giovanna Russo, both formerly of Villalba.

As I was scanning the index for 1899 I also noticed this record for a Teresa Capizzi (#138), that appears to list the same parents as Sebastiano.

Any assistance with the dates, details, and others mentioned in these records would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you have the correct wife and parents for Sebastiano Capizzi in the record.
Sebastiano was age 80, a mason, born and residing in Villalba.
His wife Angela Ferrara was still living.
His death occurred on 8 November 1899, and declared (reported) by Salvatore Giambra, 52, and Luigi Valenza, 60, both gravediggers, on the 9th.
Witnesses to the record: Giuseppe Pantalone, 42, messenger; and Salvatore Immordino, 38, clerk.

Teresa Capizzi appears to be Sebastiano's sibling.
She died on 11 November, and it was declared on 12 November by the same declarants as above.
She was age 80 and the widow of Mansueto Scarlata.
Same witnesses as above, as well.

T.
