Impact of So. Italian Dialect of Immigrants on New Haven, CT

Postby OrangeBlossom44 » 18 Mar 2015, 05:43

I came across this Honors Thesis tonight. Thought it was interesting. Many of my ancestors from both Northern and Southern Italy first settled in New Haven, CT, before later moving to the suburbs. I can see the impact that the Southern Italian dialect had on spoken English in the area. Glad that someone thought to study it.
