Translation Help

Postby lentini » 28 Mar 2015, 13:14

Hi,

Trying to translate these documents. I am struggling to understand if its in Italian or Latin ? If anyone would be kind enough to translate for me would be grateful. I am particularly interested to understand what this document is about and looking for references to Giuseppe Lentini and Marianna Guerera and Rafaella Eramo.

Thanks in advance

There are church baptism records in Latin. Giuseppe and Marianna are godparents in the first record. I don't see the other name you mention in either of the records.

the first record I believe is dated Feb 9, 1798 (I am not 100% on the 98).

the second record is dated May 5, 1804. The father Pasquale Nicolino, mother Maria Guarerra (sp?)-(not Marianna in this record). Infant baptized- Elisabetta Leonora Isabella Nicolino.

What town were these records from? The godfather in the 1804 record was a Antonino Schimio (I think you had this surname in a previous record a while back). There is another name before the Antonino, but I'm not 100% on it. The godmother was an Elisabetta Dominelli
