Allegati matrimoniali

Postby tomtst » 03 May 2015, 13:33

I am curious about this grouping of records. Is it that when a couple was married they grouped all their records together? This group is from Mirabella Eclano. It seems their is information about their births and parents deaths etc. 6 pages in this one some are more some less.

To get married the couple was requested to present their birth records, until a certain age also their father consent was needed, if the parent was dead they were required to present the death certificate, etc..., all this documents together with the marriage banns were kept in a register called Registro degli allegati matrimoniali
