1876 birth record

Postby alysaspoli » 24 Jun 2015, 05:46

Hello again! Could someone help me with a translation of this birth record? This is my trisnonno's younger brother, and I'm hoping for any information to help me track down my trisnonno's birth record.

Thank you so much!

There seems to be a bit more information in this earlier birth to the couple.
A sister... Maria Rosa Spolidoro - born in 1866
You will notice that in both the 1876 and 1866 records Giovanni gives his age as 50 ...

#72
Dated 1 July 1866 in Marsicovetere.
Child born on 30 June at 8 PM
Father is Giovanni Spolidoro [son of deceased Nicola] age 50, peasant farmer residing in Marsicovetere.
Mother is Teresa Vita [daughter of deceased Giusppe] his wife residing with him.
Child given the name Maria Rosa Spolidoro.

EDIT TO ADD:
Is this your GGGF, or perhaps another brother?
You may notice that Giovanni Spolidoro gives his age as 50 on this record, too!

Michele Antonio Spolidoro
#42
Dated 9 May 1869 in Marsicovetere - born on 8 May at 9 AM
Father: Giovanni Spolidoro [son of deceased Nicola], age 50, peasant farmer
Mother: Teresa Vita, his wife residing with him at Strada Pianitello(sp?)
Child was given the name MICHELE ANTONIO SPOLIDORO

Ooohhhhh, Tessa78, you have saved me so many hours of searching! Also, that Giovanni... luckily I don't need additional information on that guy...
Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your wealth of information! That is right on the nose for my trisnonno - 8 May 1869, exactly as the Canadian census I found for him recorded. Thank you so much!

And thank you for your help with Giuseppe, liviomoreno! I appreciate your time :)
