Italy, Palermo, Palermo, ...on (Tribunale), 1866-1910PalermoSan Giuseppe JatoAllegati (nati, pubblicaz...trimoni, morti) 1871-1881

This is the page I finally found my family on Page 581-584 of 994 records. It is for Rosario Sgro and Anna Maria Russo. I can make out some of it, but I am having a hard time making out what some of the letters are and year of birth. I would be forever indebted if someone could take a peak and just give me the important stuff.

Thanks Debbie

1. Birth certificate for Anna Maria Russo, born on Apr 18th, 1858.
Father was Antonino Russo, 45 years old, peasant
Mother was Rosaria Mazzola, 28 yo, both living in San Giuseppe.
The baby was baptized on the same day in the local parish.

3. Birth certificate for Rosario Sgroi, born on Oct 1st, 1854
Father was Cesare, 28 yo, peasant
Mother was Vincenza Internicola, 28 yo, both living in San Giuseppe.
The baby was baptized on day 2nd in the local parish.

2. Is the certificate issued after banns were posted and kept on the door of the Town Hall for about 15 days. It doesn't add anything about them and their families.

Thank you so very much, It will give me some new leads to work with now that I know the names and approximate ages. Is it safe to say the Antonio Russo could have been married before because he is much older then his wife? Super exicted to be making some progress finally.

Grazie

Could he have been previously married? Sure. So could the bride for that matter. But just because he was 17 years older doesn't necessarily mean that he was. It was not that unusual for a man to marry for the 1st time in his 40s.

Note also that no death records for previous spouses have been included in these allegati, as one would expect, but that's hardly conclusive either.
