Thank you, Angela. I am a bit confused as I have Margherita, (same parents, same year of birth) marrying a Gennaro Cipriano in 1900. Perhaps Gennaro died but I have yet to find him.....:(

Dolores

Hi Dolores

I see from the following thread that you have a 1900 Marriage Bann/s for Margherita D'Avino and Gennaro Cipriano:
http://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/l ... no#p231120

Do you also have the actual Marriage Record. If you don't, then it is likely that the marriage never took place. I'll have a little look and see what I can find.

Hi again Dolores

I looked at the Index for the 1900 marriage records, and I also looked through the records page by page, and there is no record there for Cipriano with D'Avino. It doesn't look like the marriage ever took place, for whatever reason.

Hi Dolores

Yes, the link you have posted is to a Marriage Bann not a Marriage Record. There was no Marriage Record that I could see in neither the Indices nor the records for Margherita and Gennaro. Something must have happened and they didn't make it to the altar.

Have a lovely day.
Angela :)
