Dated 27 December 1872
Appeared Marciano Russolillo, son of Nicola, age 30, peasant farmer residing in Frigento, to present a male child who he declared was born yesterday the 26th of December at 9 PM to his wife Elisabetta Carrabs(?), daughter of Giovanni, and residing with the declarant at their home on Contrada S. Cosmo. The child was given the name Giuseppantonio.
Witnesses to the record: Michele Abbondandolo, son of deceased Giuseppe, age 70, a farmer residing in the town of Frigento; and Signor Don Marciano di Leo, son of deceased Don Giovannbattista, age 58, priest,resident of the town of Frigento.

Carrabs sounds correct, it is a surname still found in Avellino and surroundings

Thank you, Tessa and Livio. I have some Carrabs in my tree and always thought it a strange name for an Italian. Where are the vowels? lol
