Fiorentina D'Ambrosio birth certificate

Postby pm16 » 18 Jan 2016, 00:17

Can someone please help me with the translation of this birth certificate? I can usually get the information I need but this one seems different and there is a lot in the margin that I can't read at all. Thank you in advance.

This 1902 record is actually a delayed registration of the birth of Fiorentina which actually took place in 1883.

The copy you see here is dated Feb 26, 1902 at 9:15 a.m. in Perdifumo. Appearing was Giuseppe D'Ambrosio, age 58, property owner living in Vatolla (a hamlet of the town). He reported that at 7:30 P,M. on the 4th of Nov in 1883, in the house at Via Giovambattista Vico #112, Fiorentina was born to his wife Maria Luigia Pierri, also a property owner who was living with him. The present copy of the judgment of the court of Vallo della Lucania authorized the town official to receive and view the late registration of the birth. The copy was then entered into the allegati register of this town.

In the margin is also reference to Fiorentina's marriage on Aug 29, 1901-link to the record is below.

There is also a notation in the margin concerning her death on July 11, 1966
