Help with Occupation: Giovanni de Santis - Magnaio

Postby AngelaGrace56 » 22 Jan 2016, 21:35

I am reading that the father's occupation is “Magnaio” in the following Birth Extract. Magnaio translates to "Magnesium"? It's a bit of a mystery. Does anyone know what type of work a Magnaio might undertake.

Thank you for any thoughts on this.
