Marriage Caponegro/D'Ursi

Postby donnalynn829 » 28 Apr 2016, 04:03

Hi there.

I found two marriage publications on opposite pages - Francesco Imperatrice and Maria Domenica D'Ursi, my gr-great grandparents (which you have already translated) and on the other page, Clarenzo Giuseppe Caponegro and Maria Rosa D'Ursi. From the little I can read, it looks like the two women are sisters. Looks like Luigi is their father, but I can't decipher the other information on Clarenzo (age, occupation, parents) or Maria Rosa (mother, age), etc.

Here's the link to the document of FamilySearch. (Italia, Cosenza, Castrovillari, Stato Civile (Tribunale), 1866-1910; image 891)

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Dated 30 March 1872 at the town office at 3 PM
Before the official appeared ...
Francesco Imperatrice, single, age 34, day laborer born and residing in Canna, son of Antonio Imperatrice, a day laborer, and of Domenica Acciardi, a spinner; both resided in this town.
AND
Maria Domenica D'Ursi, single, age 22, a spinner born and residing in Canna, daughter of deceased (both) Luigi D'Ursi, a peasant farmer and Mariantonia Morano, a spinner, both having resided in this town...

I would say that Maria Domenica and Maria Rosa (see #3) are sisters.
