Postby ItalianbellaSA » 07 Jun 2016, 22:18

Hi:

I could use a little help with the following marriage record from 1813. Here is the link:

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0

Please make corrections as I am still learning, but would like to make sure a I have accurately translated.

Date of wedding: Nov. 24, 1813

Groom: Nicolo de Pinto, age 32, widower of the late Maria Domenica Binetti (d. Aug. 17, 1812). Adult son of Nicolo, age 55, Raffaele de Pinto (mentioned is he his grandfather?) and the late Rose Cale'.

Bride: Isabella Sciancalepore, age 26, widow of the late Giuseppe Messina (died Dec. 17, 1812), daughter of Saverio Sciancalepore, age 60 and the late Angela de Ruvo (died Feb. 20, 1808).

I hope I translated the record correctly. Thanks for any assistance!

Sue Antista
It is hoped that the research I am doing helps to discover, preserve and celebrate my family history.

Tessa - I thought his name would be Nicolo. Nicola is female. No?

No, Nicola is a male name... very common :-)

And, yes, you are getting very good with the translations!
