Postby AngelaGrace56 » 15 Jun 2016, 07:47

Can I please have as much of the the following Baptism Extract, as possible, translated.
I've made a start with the important details but not sure about some of the church details:

…....... Baptised Sarconi 30 May 1805 …... born on 25/26? May 1805 to married couple Ciro di Mauro e Teresa Sansevrino from the said town and given the name Carlo Tomaso Antonio …...

So you are reading Sanseverino here? I have a real issue with this name. Sanseverino is the spelling that we have used since from about 1920. In all the records that I have looked at so far in Sarconi, I am reading Sansevrino. My grandparent and siblings birth records, all born early 1900's have Sansevrino not Sanseverino. I'm not sure whether in the records Sansevrino has just been mispelt, all those 100 years!!! and it should have been written Sanseverino. It's really confusing.
