Sept 16, 1787

Groom: Giovanni Antonio Sparacio, single, legitimate and natural son of dec Vincenzo (Sparacio) and living Anna Mondello, who were spouses at one time.

Bride: Bernarda Listi, single, leg. and nat. daughter of deceased Martino (Listi) and living Anna Mancuso, who were a married couple in the town when the husband was alive

Banns on Sept 4?, 6, and 8th resulted in no impediments to the marriage

Witnesses: Clerico Don Pietro Marsala and Francesco Scarpinati

Thanks so much, Erudita. Does the record say they were from Corleone?

Yes, they were. After the Latin abbreviation for the word "spouses," there is L.C. You will see this abbreviation after both sets of names in the record. This abbreviation stands for the Latin words Loco Citato, which means "in the place cited." In other words, of this town, or of Corleone.
