Baptism Translation Please ~ Cyra/Cira Rappa

Postby siciliangirl2016 » 15 Aug 2016, 14:17

I am hoping this record is for my great grandmother. When my uncle had the family tree started, we were told her name was Cira Rappa and her parents were Angelo Rappa and Giuseppe Franzone, however, all the children's birth records (except for one) on the LDS site have her listed as Maddelena or Magdalena Rappa. Even one of her nieces was named Cira. I suppose Maddelena/Magdalena could be a formal name? Plus everyone I have spoke with has her mother's surname as SALAMONE and not Franzone!!! I think my uncle got some misinformation.

I have several cousins, who match my DNA very high, that have her listed as Maddelena or Magdalena Rappa on their trees with the parents as Angelo Rappa and Giuseppa Salamone. Would appreciate a translation and I will look into those baptism records further in case there is another family with similar names. I do know my uncle had her year of birth as 1862....... Thank you!!!

Thanks, mmogno. The image was very washed out on my computer, and I was debating between Salvati and Salvia.
