2nd line: "....come della fede esibita" - is that what is written and what does this translate to, please.

Yes, that is what I am reading also. I think what it means is that the information about who he was, was taken in faith?????? I'm not 100% though. I had similar, but not exact, wording in one of my records once. Maybe someone else can confirm/negate.

"...come dalla fede esibita" = "...come dal certificato esibito" = "...as in the certificate shown"

Thank you, Livio. A new phrase for me to remember. It would've been easier if they had just said "come dal certificato esibito". :?

Angela, you are correct, however if the document's heading is "fede di nascita" you cannot say "come dal certificato esibito", you have to say "come dalla fede esibita".

Livio: I understand, so: fede is feminine and certificate is male

La fede = the faith (in this case an attestaton?)
dalla fede = from the faith

il certificato = the certificate
dal certificato = from the certificate

i don't know about that [catching on quickly], angela!!

this translation was for some one else. the document was from an antenati marriage records..i am unsure about the addended documents with that act.

always an opportunity learn here. i am very appreciative.
