thats what i was wondering..we call my grandmother nonni, but i read it was supposed to be nonna, so i was wondering if it was something italian or if she just wanted us to call her that..thanks a bunch
Re: Grandmother or grandfathers names
As jou know Italian languag uses specific affixes and suffixes when talking so that it is very specific
Nonna = grandma
Nonno = grandpa
Nonni = grandparents
often children and grandchildren of migrants tend to misuse or contaminate with English-like distortions the Italian language
