Question re: Translating documents into Italian

Postby gmontanaro » 18 Jul 2007, 21:37

I am applying for dual citizenship to Italy. I have an appointment with the consulate in a few weeks and need to translate all my documents into Italian.

I have a couple questions.

1. Am I supposed to translate the parts that are hand-written responses? (i.e. "Profession: Actor" becomes "Professione: Attore", where "Actor" is the hand-written response)

and

2. Am I supposed to translate every last word and paragraph on the document, or just the important facts?

P.S. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to forward to me a scanned copy of an original document and it's translation. You can hide any confidential information, I'm only interested in the main document.
