a few more lines from birth record

Postby Elaine Shuman » 03 Jun 2003, 17:27

http://groups.msn.com/Shuman/genealogy.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=14

I have most of the words on these 2 lines, but there are a few that are stumping me. Here is what I have so far.

First line
original undersigned informant Pasqualina Santosuosso (midwife)

Second line
reason she is informant???

Words I don't get are:
... sil? sons nieco ..., as eccequis ?? on the first line and

allellera? in 2nd line

Hope this makes sense. See link to gif above.

thanks
Elaine

reason she is informant is that she is the witness and acting as initiator of document. Cannot discern the writing this time using magnifying glass. Sorry. Peter

Hi Elaine.

Here is what is written, in Italian:
"...originali si sono meco sottoscritti, ad eccezione della dichiarante Pasquali-/na Santosuosso, perché illetterata come ha dichiarato".

I hope you could translate the sentence, putting it together with the previous part of the document I don't have. Anyway, the Register officer is saying all mentioned people are subscribing the act with him ("meco"= "con me" = "with me"), apart from the declarant who professes to be illiterate.

Hope this helps.
Ciao, Maurizio
