Job Application Translation

Postby runningoat5 » 25 Jan 2008, 02:59

If you can answer any one of the following paragraphs I would be grateful! I am currently taking an Italian class in the States and would like to apply for an internship in Italy. I have most of the application figured out but I am hoping for help on a few sections:

For "Education" I am looking for clarification on two of the several options. These being "Laurea N.O. Primo Livello" and "Laurea N.O. Secondo Livello"

It also asks, "In possesso di Green Card (Permesso di lavaro per USA); Si/No." Is this asking if the Italian person applying has a green card to work in the US and therefore since I am a US citizen I should just put "Si"?

In "Qualifica" my options include "operaio," "impiegato," "quadro," and "nessun inquadramento." What do these mean and if I was an intern at an engineering company (full-time, summer only) last summer which of these words would best describe that?

For computer skills there are 4 subjects and 4 levels:
*pachetto office (Microsoft Office equivalent?)
*applicazioni web (Web applications or web design?)
*programmi di calcolo strutturale (Finite Element Analysis or maybe solid modeling?)
*programmi di calcolo tecnico (MATLAB or other programming?)
*teorico, pratico, specialistico, utente (no idea on the order to rank these)

Dear Bryan If no one gets back to you with the information you are seeking ( ..and I think someone of us lumanaries probably will) then either go to San francisco or LA or telephone the Italian Cultural Institutes in either city since you reside midway and ask them for assistance. =Peter=

That sounds like a good plan. I know that it is a lot to ask.

Thanks!
