Email needs Translation

Postby lilbees » 18 Feb 2008, 17:12

I received this email this am. Could someone translate for me?

Distinti saluti,
Nunziaclara Barone

With reference to your letter dated January 20, I point out that this Embassy cannot take care of researches related to your ancestors.
You could address your request to
PRELATURE DE TUNIS
4, Rue d'Alger
1000 Tunisia
and ask if they can issue some of those acts, otherwise I suggest that you engage an Agency that is specialized in genealogical researches.
Best Regards
Nunziaclara Barone

Thank you Livio.

My confusion lies in the fact that my great grandparents circa 1870-1925 were Italian Citizens living in Tunisia and my understanding is that they keep the records for them. They were never naturalized there. The consular's website explains this information for requests. I have specific birthdates, etc.

Hello. Can you tell me where you got this email? Which embassy? I'm trying to reach Ms. Barone.
