Seminara is a comune in the province of Reggio Calabria. Go to www.nonsolocap.it and put in Seminara in the top and click CERCA for the postal code, the town name, the province letters (RC) and the region, Calabria. Clickon Seminara and a website will come up for the Comune di Seminara with all the pertinent addressses and information about Seminara and if there is a www website in the middle on he right sidfe that will gvie you more information about Seminara as well.

If you wish to research for your family you can either go to the nearest Mormon church family history library (www.familysearch.org for location) and rent out the microfilm for the civil records for all births, marriages and deaths from 1809 to 1915. Bring along a book Discovering Your Italian ancestros by Lynn nelson and a magnifying glass to read the beautiful handwriting that they used years ago. The rental is about $5.00 and the library has all the machines.

If youjust want to write away for records then you can use the address I mentioned above after clicking Seminara for the municipal hall. Th eoffice is called the Uffico di Stato Civile. The letter to write in italian is in a form letter you will find at www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwisdom/Da ... tters.html

You can also go to www.paginebianche.it and put int he family surname, and beneath that Seminara and click CERCA and you wil; see all the people in Seminara with that surname (if any?) and should you wish to write to them since they are potential relatives go to www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwisdom/sa ... etter.html =Peter=
