Grado

Post by emma2412 »

Hello!
My great-grandmother was born in 1881 in Grado. Unfortunately, I do not know exactly in what parish.
Is there a researcher who is active in Grado and can help me a fee?
Can I ask someone to call the Catholic parish of the address / addresses of the Catholic parishes in Grado?
Thank you!

What information do you have for your great-grandmother? Do you know her maiden name?

Grado is a comune and, as such, you can simply write to the comune and request your great-grandmother's birth and - if applicable - marriage records.

The comune's address is:

Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Comune di Grado
PIANO TERRA
Piazza Biagio Marin n. 4
34073 GRADO (GO)
ITALY

The email address is: stato.civiile@com-grado.regione.fvg.it (remove the spaces)
Carmine

My hobby is finding things. Having found most of my own, I am happy to help others find theirs. PM me! :)

I think is not possible: Grado was annexed to Italy after WWi, in 1918.
Before it was under the Austrian Empire.
So I think she must refer to a parish.
I see there is only parish, SDant'Eufemia, which number is 0431 80146.

Hello!

Yes, I know the maiden name of my great-grandmother. Her name is Ernestine Krainz, * 16.11.1883 (or 16.11.1881) in Grado, Italy.

She married 1913 on the second time in Trieste, Italy is 1970, and died in Graz, Austria.

I am looking for the church. The municipality has no data at the earliest.

Thanks for your help!

Once mainly a fishing center, today it is a popular tourist destination, known commonly as L'Isola del Sole ("The Sunny Island"), also famous because it is also a spa town; together with Marano Lagunare, it is the center of a lagoon, which is famous for its uncontaminated nature.
