Looking for information about Patrica near Frosinone, Italy

Postby cjperry56 » 30 Jul 2010, 19:31

My family (Belli) comes from Patrica near Frosinone in Italy. Many of them ended up in New Bedford, Massachusetts, USA. If anyone has any information about Patrica in general, or can tell me where to find info such as contacts for vital information, I would be very appreciative.

Thank you,
Chris

When you say "welcome" you really mean it! Thank you all for your fast, info packed responses. You probably won't see me in the forum for a while because you gave me so much help it'll take me some time to go through it all.

Thank you all again, and hopefully one day I won't be such a newbie, and I can pass along to another newbie, the kindness you've shown me.
Mille Grazie

My Grandmother was raised in Patrica and I am looking for any information that I could use to put together a slide show for her. She is 92 years old and this is something that I really think she would love to see. Thank you!!

Nikkimarie:

My great-grandparents all came from Patrica to America somewhere between 1899 and 1907. I have found much information and many contacts through this forum. In fact, the post before yours (from Ann Tatangelo - angelcommunications.spaces.live.com) was a very big help to me. Also, through Facebook I found an Italian group and befriended Nicola Belli Codan (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pro ... 1654456978) and also Stefano Belli (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pro ... 1055015953) (http://www.stefanobelli.it/intro/intro.htm) who just happens to be the Mayor of Patrica. I think that if you contact any one or all of them, you will find them to be very helpful.

If I can be of any assistance, please let me know, and please wish you grandmother "tanti aguri di buon compleanno". It seems that there is something good in the air of Patrica. My greatgrandmother was born there and lived to be 99 years old.

I'd be very interested in getting some information about Patrica from your grandmother and you, and in turn, sharing what I know of my family with you. In fact, your grandmother may be related to my family. Patrica is a very small town. Here are a couple more interesting websites you can visit.
(http://www.panoramio.com/photo/3701133); (http://www.casa.it/vendita-residenziale ... a-1?ps=100); (http://genealitalia.blogspot.com/). I have a beautiful picture of Patrica in the winter, but it's not appropriate to post here. Also if you check out "google earth" you can get a very unique perspective on the town and the area around it.

Hopefully I've helped somewhat. If you'd like to, you can reach me at cjperry56@comcast.net or on my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/#!/cjperry56. Good luck on your search.
Mille Grazie

Chris
