:D It was a surprise to find the name spelled correctly! :D

In 1917 Antonio Cacchione was at the same address on Ash Street,
also born in Ururi

thank you i will look into this. i am almost positive it is occhionero .only because they all came from ururi. and pasquale had a sister in law who married occhionero. but i will still investigate love this forum you are all FANTASTIC thank you so much :)

i will go back and start again i thank you so much for all the help you might be right about the spelling cacchione. i think i was just assuming because we are related to them also. ok so now i have a new surname to add to my list i thank you all so much :)

Cacchione and Occhionero are 2 different surnames.. but Occhionero is more typical of Ururi (arbëreshë town in Molise region).. in the ship's manifest the surname is Cacchione.. no doubts...

yes my grand father salvatore basilone spoke albanian. he also spoke 6 different languages. it was quite comical to her him speak .he was loved very much. i thank you so much for everything :) i do believe his mother calascione was of albanian descendant.
