which address should I write

which address should I write

I have two addresses to write requesting records. What difference record would each of these have?

Comune di Brindisi
Piazza Matteotti
72100 Brindisi Italy


Archivio di Stato di Brindisi
p.Santa Teresa,4
72100 Brindisi Italy

I am seeking a birth record on Rocco PADULA,( b:15 March 1844), and any information on James BUONOMO, (b abt 1820), and Angela BELLEZE or BELLIZI (b: abt 1820).

Does anyone know what the name equivalent to "James" is in Italian?

looking for the names from Cosenza:Sturino. Ruffolo, Dattilo, Perri, Gentile,Crispino, Savaglio,Marino, Alfano, Molinaro, Bilotto and Bartella. And Padula,Buonomo,Bellizi from Brindisi.

Does anyone know what the name equivalent to "James" is in Italian?

My grandmother's brother was called James and Jimmy in the U.S. and his Italian name was Girolamo. Technically though the English equivalent of the Italian name Girolamo is Jerome.

Also the Italian name Vincenzo for the English equivalent Vincent becomes James or Jimmy in English as well.

The other Italian name which may have James as its English equivalent is Giacomo. But my ancestor with that name was called Jake as in Jacob.

as for the address-

You can use the first address to write for the copies. Just put a comma followed by the number 1 after the street address. At that address you find
SERVIZI DEMOGRAFICI which can be used for the copies of the vital records you want. You may want to put those words in the bottom corner of your envelope to insure it gets to the proper office.

You will also need to put the Province abbreviation after Brindisi :-)
