Civil records for Ponte Buggianese?

Postby msilingo » 04 Sep 2011, 23:46

I am attempting to get birth records for my husband's Grandmother, Linda Teglia who imigrated from Ponte Buggianese on February 1, 1916. She was 18 years old at that time so I'm guessing her birth year 1898 or there abouts.

Can anyone tell me where to find birth records at? Her mother's name was Elvira Lenzi.

Thank you
Marie

You can write to the comune:

Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Comune di Ponte Buggianese
Piazza del Santuario, 1
51019 Ponte Buggianese PT
ITALY

You can find letter templates on this site or at http://www.circolocalabrese.org/resources/letters/statocivile.asp

Hi Marie-
I sent you a PM. I have a Teglia in my family tree. Annina Teglia from the same town. Her son was Narcisco Spadoni born in 1877 and who immigrated to Chicago. Narcisco was my Great Great Grandfather.

Hi Wendy,
I also sent you a personal message. My great grandparents were Pietro Spadoni (1832-1904), born in Ponte Buggianese, and Maria Marchi (1840-1906), born in Pescia. I am trying to find other connections to our family tree. I know that Pietro had two brothers, Francesco (1827-) and Angelo (1834-). Francesco married Carlotto Lucchese and had a daughter Maria. Angelo married Elvira Silvestri. Pietro also had sisters Abigaille (1828-), Carolina (1830-) and Gioconda (1837-).

Pietro's father was Pellegrino Spadoni (1795-1868), and Pellegrino had a brother named Gaspero (1802-). The father and mother of Pellegrino and Gaspero were Francesco Spadoni and Annunziata Galli. Francesco's father was Lorenzo.

I am hoping that someday I will find someone who has traced his or her ancestry back to the point that we can find a common ancestor.

For pspadoni: I have a Marianna Spadoni born about 1860-1870, was either born or originated from Ponte Buggianese. She married Guiseppe Teglia who was also born or left from Ponte Buggianese with his wife and arrived in New York in March 1920. Could this Marianna Spadoni be related to you?

For pspadoni: previous inquiry about Marianna Spadoni married to Guiseppe Teglia; should have been Celestino Teglia, not Guiseppe.
