Town of Ansonia, Caserta Italy
Town of Ansonia, Caserta Italy
My ancestor's passenger records refer to Ansonia, Caserta, Italy. Does anyone know where exactly Ansonia was located?

Possibly the town is Ausonia, not Ansonia, now located in the province of Frosinone.

Thank you, I heard once that Italians interchanged the n's and u's so I assumed it was Ansonia instead of Ausonia. But I do have another question, in my Great-Great Grandfather's WWI Registration Card it says, Ausonia, Caserta, Italy. Was Ausonia part of Caserta back in the early 1900's?

Ausonia became part of the Frosinone Province in 1927, befor it belonged to Caserta.
