Looking for a map of Villa Santo Stefano from 1890s

Postby KBL » 26 Mar 2012, 01:44

I'm new to this web site and forum, so please bear with me as I get acclimated. I apologize in advance if I'm not following any of the rules. :)

Does anyone know where I can find a street map of Villa Santo Stefano (it's sort of near Frosinone) from around 1890 or so? My grandfather was born there, and I know the street address of the residence where he was born, but the streets have been renamed, so current maps are of no help.

Thank you in advance for any info you can provide!

I think it's hard to find a map of that time in Internet.
You better write to the Ufficio Tecnico of the Commune(the one that takes care of streets) and ask if they can tell you the new name of the street. This is the email address: ufficiotecnico@comune.villasantostefano.fr.it

why do you not ask directly at the community-office there?
they must know the former adresse of the changed streetnames.

I am sorry I have not checked back sooner for replies. I have had some health issues. :-( But, I am now eager to get back to my ancestry research.

The street name shown on the birth record is Via Pianella.

Thank you, PippoM, for the e-mail address of the Ufficio Tecnico of the Commune. Will they understand my English? I do not speak Italian, although I want very much to learn the language.
