I would like to know whatever there is that is out there about the Mercolino Family that was from here. Also the same thing goes for the Morassi family from Mercato San Severino, Italy. My grandma told me the name Morassi was originally Murasso. If that helps at all

Morassi seems to be a surnam from the north of Italy.
If you go to www.paginebianche.it and search for "Murasso", you'll find one occurrence in Ciorani, that is a hamlet in Mercato San Severino.
