Mese/ San Giacomo Filippo

Hello,

I would like to know more about the village/ town Mese in the province of Sondrio
I would also like to know if Mese and San Giacomo Filippo had their own hospitals
and registry offices in the years 1870-1930.
Can anyone help me with these two towns San Giacomo Filippo and Mese.

Hi Sandro,
these two towns are really very small and are in a beautiful place in the mountains. Today people go there for vacation both in winter and summer but in the past life was very hard in the mountains. There are no hospitals there, the nearest hospital is in Chiavenna. In the range of years you mentioned women were not going to hospitals to give birth to their children.
