Sicignano degli Alburni, in Salerno

Postby PJGenova » 08 Apr 2005, 22:08

Hello,

I'm trying to research the town of my gr-grandmother. Her name was Lucia D'Antonio, and she was born in Sicignano degli Alburni in 1894. Her parents were Carmine D'Antonio and Maria Cristina Sica. I know that Cristina's parents were Luigi Sica and Maria Grande or Grandi. My gr-grandmother and her parents and siblings emigrated to Boston, or more specifically, Lynn, MA.

If there are any other people who have family members with these surnames, I would like to speak to you. Again, they are.....

D'Antonio
Sica
Grande

Hi PJ,
My wife's father is from Sicignano. His name is Giuseppe Bertone and is related to the Sica family from the same town. His father was born in the same year as your Gr-Grandmother and was named Artimisio Bertone. No doubt they knew each other. I am from Toronto, Canada and there are a few Sica's up here. let me know if you want some information. My Father-in-Law has a wealth of knowledge from this scenic town.

Good luck in your search.

Tony
