OK after much difficulty, I quickly made copies. There were two earthquakes:

1) December 15,1923; time 18.59; magnitude 5.3
2) May 9, 1923; time: 9; magnitude 7

A'quilla is incorrect, it is spelled L'Aquila

In the area of Pescina (which included a hamlet called San Benedetto dei Marsi) there was a big earthquake on January 13, 1915. The victims in San Benedetto were 2700 out of 4000 inhabitants...

I finally managed to get the two (2) ?earthquakes that occurred in 1924 which were both listed for Central Italy, magnitude 6.8 with 375,000 casualties. Now further research (possibly light candles!) is required for San Bernadetto! Peter

I can't find them. They are not listed in the link that I provided http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ea ... s_in_Italy

The site owners for the Earthquake information "apologized" (FINALMENTE) for the incomplete record for the 1924 earthquakes and hope to rectify the information........Peter
