Detailed index of records for Sant' Elia Fiumerapido

Postby garrysdad » 28 Jun 2016, 15:06

Hello.

I am working my way through the LDS microfilms for Sant' Elia Fiumerapido. Rather than order the films one by one and hope to find a particular record I wonder if there is a detailed index of the records which appear on each film.

garrsydad--We were trading message on this topic a few days ago. If only someone would index Italy. :)
Lucky you...you get to research the old fashioned way. I looked at the FamilySearch catalog for Sant' Elia Fiumerapid. One film is indexed (Matrimoni 1820-1850) which is super handy, because you get lots of info from one marriage record. And, there are several that you can view online (have the camera icon):
Matrimoni 1851-1861
Processetti 1838-1843
Processetti 1844-1849
Processetti 1848-1852
Processetti 1851-1855
Processetti 1855-1859
Processetti 1858-1863
Processetti 1863-1865
Matrimoni 1880-1899
Morti 1860-1882

These images are viewable:
-To signed-in members of supporting organizations.
-When using the site at a family history center.

That means non-members have to go to an LDS FHC and NOT login to your FamilySearch account to view.
I had the same experience with my g.gfather's hometown. It's still better than working with microfilm.
Good luck, take care.

Hello Ken.

Thanks for your help. I have ordered the film of marriages covering 1820-1850 and will see what it contains. I will also look online at the others you have listed. I am researching La Marra and Lanni surnames back from 1860.
