Hi korkyv,

Here's a map of Sessa Aurunca.

http://www.multimap.com/wi/4290.htm

If you have trouble viewing just type the name of the town in your search engine and it should come up.

Nuccia and Suanj: Thank you so much for the response. Ellis Island records show town of origin for my grandfather, Gabriel Ventitozze, (spelling is questionable on the last name) as "Setta Aur." I knew he was from the Naples area but could not locate this town on any map. Having the correct location and spelling will make my research so much easier. :D

You're welcome, korkyv,

I found this manifest for a Gabriel...Is he your grandfather?

http://ellisisland.org/search/shipManif ... 2232100245

First Name: Gabriele
Last Name: Vendittozzi
Ethnicity:
Last Place of Residence: Setta Aur.
Date of Arrival: May 18, 1906
Age at Arrival: 21y Gender: M Marital Status: S
Ship of Travel: Italia
Port of Departure: Napoli
Manifest Line Number: 0013

You're right..the town is spelled incorectly on the text version but correctly on the manifest.
