hello sheronb, thanks for that, this was a bit of a long shot but you have to keep trying, the house felicia owned was named montrane and i just wondered if that was named after where she came from or something close to her heart. thanks for your help, its great to have the help, kind regards john

I think your best bet is any alien cards, mine says where from in Italy,( I already knew, but was nice to confirm it) unless you can ask any family member, also was there a big Italian community in Grimsby? The reason i ask this is, because my ancester went to Birmingham, and most of them were from the Sora region in Frosinone,Lazio, there again Grimsby museum, may be able to help with this.

hello sheronb, i agree with you and shall persue the alien records cards, we do nt have an italian community in grimsby as such but i have made an appeal through the local paper to see if there is any of mary robbins nee conte family still living in the area to get in touch, surely there has to be some record of entry or passport detail etc. somewhere. thanks again and i will let you know how it goes, kind regards john
