Archivio di stato addresses

Postby davidlatour » 06 Feb 2008, 01:25

could someone help me find the correct addresses to request birth records from the Archivio di stato di Foggia and the Archivio di stato di Cosenza? I found the websites but am not sure what address to send my letters to.

Thanks

To avoid any possible delay in the delivery phase from the Italian post office I suggest that you write the address according to this layout:

Addressee's name,
Street
ZIP Code, Town, (Province abbr.)
Italy

Archivio di Stato
Piazza XX Settembre 3
71100 Foggia (FG)
Italy

Archivio di Stato
Via Miceli 67
87100 Cosenza (CS)
Italy

David, just a reminder: make sure to write your requests in Italian.

David, when I wrote to the archives of Benevento and Reggio Calabria, it took about 2 to 3 weeks for them to reply by e-mail, so give it a bit more time, even for an e-mail response.
