Records from Caggi

Postby megsateennow » 16 Feb 2008, 18:17

Hi: I am trying to help my sister-in-law trace her family roots, and both of her maternal grandparents are from Caggi, and the village was wiped out in the 1908 earthquake. Is there any place that would might have some vital records from Caggi? How would we obtain them? The family names we are looking up are: Puccio, Martini and Cacciola.

This may help you
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borgosesia

Civil records 1800 to 1913
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library ... ercelli+++

You should be able to find birth, death, marriage etc.
You want to copy the film numbers and descriptions that contain Borgosesia.

Go to your nearest Family History Center (FHC) to order the films. Takes about 4 weeks to receive, cost is approximately $5.50 USD per film. Here is the link to find your FHC

I hope this helps

Regards,
Elizabeth
