Name of town

Does anyone know of a place by the name of Raccina. I found this name on a Manifest at the Ellis Island website. I can't locate it and am wondering if the name is actually Raccuia. Thanks for the help. Jo

There is a Fracina in the province of Cremona but there is no immediate record for Raccina or Raccuia. What province are you talking about or the region atg least.?? Peter

The town of Raccuia is in Messina provence. Raccina would have to be in Sicily,but do not know what provence. Jo

-Raccuia is in Messina province-OK
-Raccina not exist in Italy, is misspelling of Raccuia...

It is spelled RACCUJA. Peter

I found this post interesting, because I am trying to find port of entry of my grandfather.
While I do not know of any city named Raccina, my grandparents could possibly have entered by this last name ....
where did you find this Ellis Island listing ?
