Vetrone & Tolassi looking for around 1901

Postby checkin » 12 Nov 2008, 19:07

Looking for Italian ancestors Guissepe Tolassi (husband) & Carmela Vetrone (wife) that came over to America in 1901. They were from Casalduni, Italy.
I was on a page with someone asking about the same name, Vetrone, & lost it, anyone know where to go to search for it? Thank-you. Bob

Hi Bob!
Do you have all of your US records (census, military, ship manifests)?
Just for reference, is this your family in 1910?
Thanks, Valarie

VJ,
I cant thank you enough, I think you hit it on the head, no this is my neighbors family who I got into a discussion with when I bought a thick old book on Italy Illustrated, said the info she came across was all in Italian.
I will run this by her & press her for more details on census, military, etc.
These would be her grandparents, I beleive she mentioned something of 10 children, so when I verify, will get back to you. Thanks again. Bob
Currently unemployed in this 9% state, but enjoy relaxing & catching up on home details.

Bob, you're very welcome we're happy to help out.
There are death certificates for two children on this site:
http://search.labs.familysearch.org/rec ... 367819#p=0
(search under Carmela Vetrone)

Hi, Valarie!

On the Family Search site, there is also a death certificate for a Vincenzo Tolasssi, address 808 S. 8th? St, father Giuseppe and mother Carmela, in July of 1902.

Missed that one Biff :D - the other two certificates had mangled surnames
(Tolassi)
The age is hard to make out - 21?

And, another Vetrone
If this is Carmela's father,
Giuseppe's birth year is off a bit from the 1910 census...
May be related another way
