300 Million New Records at FamilySearch

This may explain why the site has been unreliable the last few days
They just added a ton of new records - including Italy
Choose 'Browse' to see them all

There are so many I was looking for an announcement or something on a genealogy blog - nothing yet (I think this is opening day at a NGS conference in Salt Lake City)

Unfortunately, where Italy is concerned, it seems that the Mormons still have a very long way to go...
