"Italy, Catholic Church Records" new at FamilySear

Post by vj »

It appears that the FamilySearch Beta site (requires one-time free registration) has added records that don't appear on the FamilySearch Pilot site
Valarie
Italy, Catholic Church Records
Description: Images of baptisms, marriages, and deaths from the parishes of Italy.
Quick Facts: Covers events from: 1530 - 1937
These are the listed locations on 26 Sep
Not all years and types of records are represented

Catania: Catania
Palermo: Altofonte thru Terrasini Favarotta
Treviso: Bessica
Vicenza: Casoni and Romano d'Ezzelino

Go to FamilySearch Beta
http://beta.familysearch.org/
Click on 'All Collections'
===

from Diane Haddad at Family Tree Magazine
The FamilySearch Beta site has added nearly 2 million new digital images of historical records this week from the Dominican Republic, Italy, Jamaica, Spain, and the United States.

Note that not all of the new records are indexed yet, which means that they’re not included in the search, so you may need to browse. Use the filters on the left side of the Collection List page to navigate to the country, then possibly the type of record and/or province, then select the record set you want to browse.

Valerie...thanks so much!!

Now I have over 1860 records too look at...wait let me think, yes that is a good thing!!

But I maybe half blind and brain damaged by the time I am done!!!

I do appreciate your findings just making a joke!!! I needed the Palermo/Terassini ones!!

Hello Thomas ...

We would love to help you in your search, but we need you to REPOST your inquiry as a "new topic"... as suanj was stating above.

Use the link suanj has provided above and start a new thread in "Italian Genealogy" so people will see your topic. You'll get more results that way.

Thanks!--I found a lot of info just in the "1809-1900 Italy Marriages" tab......now just to figure out what's relevant & what's not
My past is all behind me now.
Looking for Andreola, Fino, Simone, Rossacci & Capece primarily from Casalvecchio di Puglia.
