how long is XMAS in italy?

Postby mike123 » 13 Oct 2010, 21:37

I have an appointment at the NYC consulate very close to xmas. I am curious if it will delay my registration granted that all things go well. I assume it will delay it but it got me curious, what is vacation time in italy like? most places here in NYC are a couple days then close again for a couple days for new years. Will communes be shutting down for days or weeks?

No, usually they are closed, in December the 24th, half day, the 25th and 26th, and the 31st half day, in January the 1st and the 6th. It could be that some of the employees will be on vacation from Dec 23rd to January 7th.
