Postby lilbees » 08 Mar 2012, 21:50

Can't figure out what the English name would be.
Can someone help me with the names of the children being baptised.

These look like Slavic names to me :-)

First appears to be Magdalena Stanislava
Origin of Magdalena

Origin of Stanislava

Second appears to be Ladislava

Both are female names - Surname appears to be Suszynska

Thanks T, you are correct. Origin, Lithuanian/Polish/Russian. I just couldn't figure them out. The surname for the other children is listed as Susinskas. My great Aunt Agata's surname is listed on some of the other children as Sarpalius, Sarpalis, Sarpaliuke, Sarpalaites and Sarpaliute. So many variations of the names get confusing for me. But I am getting there slowly. Won't go into all the various spellings of Agata's husbands' surname.

Even the death records are a nightmare as well.

Appreciate your help on this.
