Help with a tattoo PLEASE READ!

Hello all, im new to this site, i found this through my tireless search for some ideas on a tattoo that i want to get.

As far as my background goes im 100%. And i have been thinking about a tattoo for a long time that has to do with my background.

I was thinking about including the flag, then inside the flag have an outline of the actuall "boot" of italy. then somehow throw in the names of past generations who came from italy in the early days up to the present day families. As im sure most of your know, we tend to have pretty big families hehe. so its going to have to be a larger tattoo. Onother option i was thinking was to have one of the older italian coins, and then somehow work the names into that.

Basically what im looking for is some opinions, i am really proud of my heritage so i want to make this a really special, detailed tattoo. I would like to not do something so common as the flag thing, but im not sure what else i could use to really signify italy. I was thinking of putting in a landmark ( leaning tower, roman col ect) but i can't make my mind up.

If anyone has ANY ideas at all about what i could do to make this wish for a unique tattoo that has meaning yet looks sharp com true, please please feel free to share. I am open to anything, or if you know of where i can look at some other tattoos or drawings to get an idea that would be great to.
