Hi jcsm400
Thank you for posting that.
I found that link (site) very moving. Hearing that bugle call always makes me remember what sacrifices others have made for people like me and for that I am eternally grateful.

But your 'Taps' (our Last Post) goes back quite a long way back in history

>The Last Post<

Another 'snippet' of interest....

Taps' Lyrics
While there are no official words to the bugle call "Taps", the commonly used lyrics are:

Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar drawing nigh -- Falls the night.

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Then good night, peaceful night,
Till the light of the dawn shineth bright;
God is near, do not fear -- Friend, good night.
If you think education is expensive - try ignorance!

Another tribute to fallen comrades and those who have served from We Were Soldiers.

"There are only two lasting bequests we can give our children - one is roots, and the other, wings." -- Hodding S. Carter

"You live as long as you are remembered." -- Russian proverb
