I transcribed my first record on Saturday as well but I had trouble submitting it. Am I doing something wrong??? James, Lee...help!!

Glad you're having sooo much fun with the grandkids, Lee!

Mike, good for you! You're not neglecting your schoolwork though, are you? By any chance, are you taking Family History courses?

Ok, did my Mom duty for the day...

Hahahaha, all my work is done, I want to be smart so I can retire and do this untill I die. I want to look into classes, I am trying to find a place that offers them.

Not having any trouble with submitting, but am having trouble with advancing from column to column when typing the information for some of the batches. Anyone else having trouble with this?

Mike,
You may want to contact our member "brujaojos" (Trish). She is a certified professional genealogist, who I'm sure will be more the willing to help you!

Here you go Mike.....some additional reading on becoming a genealogist,
http://www.bcgcertification.org/categories.html

Now my cousin, who has a history degree and is a professor, said that they now offer history degrees in college with an emphasis on genealogy research......he suggested this to me a couple years ago.....I love history and genealogy, but think I'll stick with pursuing my RN.....
