I tried learning Latin a few years ago....that didnt go too well for me...but I dont think it was a good time for me to try to learn it...Sicilian and Italian are the two languages I would really like to learn....my grandma would like me to be fluent in them....keep to my roots I guess....she tried ...

well I suppose I cant admit to seeing all of Italy...I flew into rome...stayed there a bit...took a train to florence...stayed there...then took a train to venice...none of what I saw there seemed better than the united states in anyway...I dont mean to offend anyone who lives there...Im just saying...

yes I american...I was concidering applying for dual citizenship....but over the summer I visited Italy and realized it wouldnt be great to be a citizen of a place like that....so thank you for replying...your information was more useful than Peters link

Pepe? meaning
my amigos last name is Pape...he thinks it was misspelled when his grandfather came to the US though so that it was originally 'Pepe'...does anyone know where the origin of that name would be or what it means?

still cool information to know...thanks.....Im not sure if that family in the city is related to me...maybe distantly...I know my grandpa had a grocery store in brooklyn in the 1930s...but there are a lot of cincottas in the city Im sure...I dont think Ive heard of that singer...Ill have to look him...

hah yes I know theyre curse words...great things I learn from my grandparents, right? at least if I learn some more Italian Ill have more to say if someone asks me to say something in Italian for whatever reason

haha yes I knew that...I know a few phrases and words...I dont know how far theyll get me though....'que catza diche?' 'mierde'...'butana'...'non sa'...'que?'...some of those are probably spelled wrong...but I can say them
